HOW TO APPLY PU CLEAR MATT

METHOD 1: BY APPLYING PU CLEAR SEALER

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Mix PU Clear Sealer and hardener in the ratio of 2:1.
Dilute the mix with 30% to 50% of Polyurethane thinner.
Apply one coat of PU clear sealer; wait for one hour at temperature 35⁰C or until the film is almost tack free. (Waiting for too      long will create intercoat adhesion problems, waiting for too short will create lifting problems).
Apply second coat of PU clear sealer; wait for 6 to 8 hours.
Sand it with 320 no. and then with 400no.paper. (Two coats of sealer are generally enough if applying PU Clear Matt).
Mix PU Clear Matt and hardener in the ratio of 2:1.
Dilute the mix with 30% to 50% of Polyurethane thinner.
Apply one coat of PU Clear Matt over the prepared wood, coated with PU Clear Sealer.
Apply 2nd coat after one hour at temperature 35⁰C or until the film is almost tack free, waiting for too long will create intercoat      adhesion problems, waiting for too short will create lifting problems.

METHOD 2: BY APPLYING POLYESTER CLEAR SEALER

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Apply one coat of Polyester Clear sealer (Mixing ratio: Resin100%+Accelerator2%+Peroxide2%); dilute the mix with 5-10%      Polyester Thinner. Wait for one hour or until the film is almost tack free, waiting for too long will create intercoat adhesion      problems, waiting for too short will create lifting problems.
Apply second coat of Polyester Clear sealer; wait for 6 to 8 hours. Sand it with 320 no. and then followed with 400 no. paper.      (Generally two coats of Polyester Clear sealer are enough if applying PU Clear Matt).
Apply one coat of PU Clear Matt.
Apply the 2nd coat after one hour at temperature 35⁰C or until the film is almost tack free, waiting for too long will create      intercoat adhesion problems, waiting for too short will create lifting problems.

Note: For Polyester Clear Sealer Firstly mix Accelerator(Purple) in Resin then when applying mix Catalyst Peroxide(Colorless). Prepare only that much material that can be sprayed within half an hour as after adding peroxide the pot life is very short. (the blend can explode!)

Wood Filler
Use Teak and Walnut color wood filler beneath clear coatings for natural finish, on raw or dented wood, before applying the Universal Wood Stains. Use White filler beneath Pigmented P.U like white, black and other colors.

Preparing Base For Solvent Base Clear P.U Wood Coatings.
Application Procedure:
Wooden surface that to be coated must be dry, free of dust and the loose particles. Prepare smooth surface by sanding with emery paper 100 followed by 150 and then 180 as per requirement, till smoothing of the wood.
Cracks and dents if any should be filled and leveled with wood filler (Teak, Walnut and White).
Sand the wood after the wood filler has completely dried with emery paper no.180 followed by 220 no.
Apply Universal Wood Stain if want to give a color to the wood (Oak Yellow, Teak, Rosewood, Walnut, Mahogany, Wenge, Black and Red Brown).
Apply Epoxy (Insulator) 1 to 2 coats always, as it act as a barrier coat between wood and the coating. If polyester is applied, 1 coat is not always enough, if the wood is very oily or rich in inhibitors 2 or even 3 coats of insulator may be necessary; a preliminary test on a sample is always recommended.

Preparing Base For Solvent Base Acrylic P.U Wood Coating

Application Procedure:

Wooden surface that to be coated must be dry, free of dust and the loose particles. Prepare smooth surface by sanding with emery paper 100 followed by 150 and then 180 as per requirement, till smoothing of the wood.

Cracks and dents if any should be filled and leveled with wood filler (Teak, Walnut and White).

Sand the wood after the wood filler has completely dried with emery paper no. 180 followed by 220 no.

Apply Universal Wood Stain if want to give a color to the wood (Oak Yellow, Teak, Rosewood, Walnut, Mahogany, Wenge, Black and Red Brown).

HOW TO APPLY POLYESTER (LAMINATION)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Apply Epoxy (Insulator) one coat always, as it act as a barrier coat between wood and the coating. One coat, especially in case of lamination polyester, is not always enough. If the wood is very oily or rich in inhibitors 2 or even 3 coats of insulator may be necessary; a preliminary test on a sample is always recommended.
Apply 2 Coats without break of Polyester Topcoat (Clear or Pigmented) (Diluted with 5-10% of Polyester Thinner).
Wait for 4 hours.
Sand it with 320 no., then followed by 400 no. paper and at last with 600 no.
Repeat the process of applying topcoat (Step 2 to step 4).
You can again repeat the above process if desire a thick coating (Step 2 to step 4).
Leave overnight to get it dry completely.
Sand the next day, firstly with 400no.then 600no.then 1000no. then 1500no and lastly with 2000no.
Buff the coating with buffing machine using buffing cream followed by polishing for finalizing.

HOW TO APPLY CRACKLE

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Apply one to 2 coats of NC primer pigmented color with the desired shade, leave the last coat dry for around 1 hour and then go for the application of the crackle paint without any sanding.
Apply one single coat of crackle paint colored with pigment paste of the desired shade which it should be different from the primer color to give a good design. The crackle effect appears during the drying stage (after about 5-10 minutes), and is enhanced by a suitable contrast between the colour of the basecoat and the colour of the crackle topcoat. A wide range of different crackle patterns can be obtained, simply by varying the amount of thinner, the quantity of sprayed product and the spraying method. The more thinner we add, the smaller the crackle we will get, and the less thinner we add, the bigger the crackle we will get.
After four to five hours minimum in order to let the crackle to dry, apply one more coat of NC or Acrylic clear matt or hi-gloss on the top of NC crackled in order to protect the paint against scratching.

HOW TO APPLY MARBLE FILAMENT

Special effect marble filament paint, designed to provide the surface of the manufactured article an effect marbled finish. The product goes out the nozzle shaped like filaments which set on the surface giving the effect of fully irregular cracked surface in thin lines like a spider – web.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Apply the PU white primer on wood, 2 coats, duly sanded once fully dry. For better finishing it can be over coated by PU pigmented topcoat then left for full dry overnight then sanded again.
Apply the marble filament, diluted with PU or NC thinner. Apply it by a spray gun, in a way it leaves marble effect. Leave it to dry for 10-15 minutes.
For protection, overcoat it with clear Acrylic top coat hi-gloss or matt for the final protection.

HOW TO APPLY GOLD LEAF

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Apply on wood mission glue all over the surface, and then put gently the gold leaf all over the surface and fix it by a large, soft brush.
Overcoat the gold leaf by Acrylic Clear Matt or Hi-Gloss for protection.

HOW TO APPLY MOTHER OF PEARL

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Apply two or more coats of PU or Polyester white primer according to the desired covering. After drying, sand the basecoat with at least 400 type sanding paper. Ensure that the surface is thoroughly clean before application of pearl finish.
Prepare the pearl finish by mixing with catalyst @ 20% and diluting with PU thinner @ 30%. Apply by gravity spray gun, the effect will change with the quantity applied.
After drying this product does not need any particular subsequent treatment. Albeit, it is possible to apply on top of pearl finish (after 2 hrs. without sanding) an acrylic top finish glossy (to increase the brightness) or matt (for a matte effect)
